Swiss watch brand Mondaine has created a collection inspired by the (also Swiss) typeface Helvetica. The typeface was created in 1957 by graphic artist Max Miedinger and business manager Eduard Hoffmann, and is a discreet, matter of fact, but harmonious and logical font, and one which certainly echoes Swiss values and style. The watches are also discreet yet stylish, and are also very Swiss in their design, as well as being high quality and promising a lifetime of reliability. Of course, the watches are available – just like the typeface – in light, regular, and bold. Mondaine hopes these watches will become an iconic design classic, just like the font.
