The color of the season: the greenery of Villa Savoye
Full Article 40 second read

If you look carefully and very closely at Le Corbusier’s Villa Savoye, you will notice that the concrete exterior is not completely white

The ground floor of the iconic modernist mansion in Poissy, France is indeed a beautiful saturated clover green. This same shade was noticed almost everywhere at the Salone del Mobile

It covered the Eolie daybed by Gordon Guillaumier for Roda, the Perry Up sofa by Antonio Citterio for Flexform, the Mateo table by Molteni&C by Vincent Van Duysen and the Porta Volta chair by Herzog & de Meuron.

This rich green with blue undertones, a little cold but very elegant, could be the color of the season ’23. India Mahdavi also chose it to upholster her Mickey armchair for Gebrüder Thonet Vienna.
