Tour de France Poster Series

As cycling enthusiasts know, it’s the final week of the 98th Tour de France! Having started at the Passage du Gois on July 2 and continuing till July 24, 2011, the Tour de France is made of of 21 stages and covers a total distance of 3,430.5 kilometers. The race culminates with a dramatic finish at the Champs-Élysées in Paris. Clad in yellow, one rider will eventually stand triumphant, wearing the most sought after jersey in cycling.

To help celebrate, Neil Stevens has attempted to create an illustration for each stage of the event. “I’ll try to include some geographical features of the landscape of each stage the riders encounter and the relevant team colours of those winning the individual stages,” he says on his website. You don’t have to love cycling to enjoy these beautifully designed posters. Aren’t they lovely?
