The designers of The 48 Urban Garden Restaurant in Athens, Greece have really focused on bringing the outside in, and the result is a fresh and airy eating space which seamlessly moves into a 190sm garden. AK-A Architects have focused on creating a casual and light atmosphere for the restaurant, which serves fresh, locally sourced products, prepared in their Airstream trailer kitchen. The colours chosen for the décor are clean and fresh – predominantly greens and whites, with wooden accents, and there are plenty of patterns featured which keep the restaurant feeling young and fun. The ivy ceiling covering further aids the transition from indoor to outdoor spaces, and restaurant guests are able to wander around the space, enjoying the garden beds and planter boxes set amongst the multilevel seating areas, trees, picnic tables and umbrellas.
