These sea-urchin-shells-turned-jellyfish-planters are the work of Cathy Van Hoang. The Los Angeles-based freelance art director/designer‘s pet project started by accident when she started hanging the planters from the ceiling to save space – needless to say plenty of people fell in love with the adorable result – plants that look like sea creatures. She now works on Petit Beast in her spare time even doing all the design and branding work by herself, between agency projects. The jellyfish air plants are sold on Van Hoang’s Etsy store and the unique pieces start at about $25.
