The next stop on our Expo pavilion tour is the KIP International School, an independent non-profit organization that collaborates with local, regional and national governments, international organizations, universities, research centres and other public and private organizations to promote knowledge, innovations, policies and practices that are coherent with the values of the United Nations Millennium Platform. Designed by RIMOND and Tony Marincola, the pavilion recreates a kind of village, with four simple shaped volumes inspired by the architecture in rural areas around the world looking out over a central square. Within these spaces, there are plenty of events and exhibitions, a theatre, an open kitchen for cooking lessons, and talks. To arrive at the pavilion, visitors have to walk through cultivated fields and the UN Garden.
