We’ve seen a few innovative folding bikes in our time, but Helix promises to be the lightest, smallest, and easiest to use so far. What’s more, it has large wheels, really setting it apart from most existing foldable bikes. Currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, the project has been developed by a group of Canadians who were fed up with the existing folding bikes on the market which were nowhere near as practical as regular bicycles. The Helix can handle mixed terrain, so can be used for commuting, training or weekend excursions. It weighs just 9kg and is small enough to fit in a car boot or suitcase, so you can even take it on holiday with you. The bike seems easy to fold and unfold and promises to “change the way you commute, travel and live with your bicycle”. Check out the Helix Kickstarter campaign for more information.
