It may be hard to concentrate on your game if you were playing in this basketball court in the 9th Arrondissement of Paris. Ill Studio collaborated with brand Pigalle in order to create a space for sports squeezed in between buildings in the French capital. The court has been there for some years, but was redesigned in 2014 to create a colourful backdrop for the launch of the Pigalle Basketball store which is located right opposite the court. The court’s floor is made from brightly coloured EPDM rubber which absorbs the noise of the game in order to appease local residents who complained about the court in previous years. The court opened this July and you can find it in Paris’s Rue Duperré.
