The Mygdal Plant Lamps , as its name implies, is both a light and a plant.
This piece, created by the German studio Nui, has been designed based on the idea of the ever increasing importance that plants play in our day to day lives in the urban environment and the clever design features of this excellent little project really do set it apart from the crowd. Nui Studio’s new lamp will sustain plants and light your room at the same time.
This plant lamp is perfect because it doesn’t require any human care like ventilation or irrigation to stay looking great. It has electrically conductive glass coating rendering an invisible connection between the power source and the LED. Their understated aesthetic makes them ideal for home or office use. In this way the small glass container can host genuine miniature ecosystems as well as spread a gentle light thanks to their built-in LED; while the design produces beautiful living sculptures.
On 2017 Richard Clarkson Studio and Miniscapes presented similar projects too developing the terrarium theme in different ways.
