Sony have just announced two new models to join the Xperia S. The Xperia line has been updated and got a lot better since Sony bought out Ericsson and changed the name to simply Sony.
Xperia P
The Xperia P is very like the Xperia S but the it instead is made from a unibody shell of aluminium. It’s been made to be durable and tough and will come up in three different colours, black, silver and red. The display is a 4-inch TFT screen with a resolution of 960×540 – it may not be amazing but Sony are touting a new feature called “WhiteMagic”, it is supposed to bring up the bright ness of the screen so you can see it clearly in daylight. It’ll come with a 8 MP camera with auto focus and Sony have also implemented the “Exmor R” technology to enable you to take even clearer pictures. You also get the standard 1Ghz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and NFC. Unfortunately it’ll be rocking Android 2.3, but Sony promise to bring Android 4.0 to it in Q2 of 2012.
Xperia U
The Xperia U is the least underpowered device of the three but it still packs a punch. From the way Sony are marketing it, it looks to be a phone which has been made for more of the entertainment side of things. The Xperia U will come with a 3.5-inch display with a resolution of 854×480, 1Ghz dual-core processor, 5 MP camera and a new feature called “xLoud” – a sound processing chip to bring out higher clarity from your music.
