Punk Light & Zick Zack Table | Olga Bielawska

If simple, geometric shapes, mixed materials and sophisticated design are your thing, it’s high time you learned about Olga Bielawska. Born in Warsaw, raised in Bavaria and educated at the prestigious Bauhaus University in Weimar, the designer’s name is becoming more and more recognisable as she continues to exhibit her work at fairs and exhibitions around the world. We found her at Salone Satellite at Milan Design Week, where she has also exhibited in previous years. For the 2015 edition, Bielawska was showing two new products, the Punkt light, and the Zick Zack table. Both have a polished aesthetic and are simple yet stunning. Punkt is a pendant lamp composed of a shiny conical copper LED housing and a matte slate disc, which come together to create a lovely lighting fixture which adds contemporary elegance to any room. The Zick Zack table is also simple in its form, and each is laser-cut from just one sheet of either powder-coated or low-luster copper-plated sheet steel. The fuss-free geometric shapes give the furniture a clean look which, again, would be right at home in a modern space. See more of Olga’s products here.
