The largest hot air balloon festival in the world happens annually in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This year, members of wanderlust collective ‘Roadtrippers’ were on hand to capture the action at the 42nd Annual International Balloon Fiesta.
In his efforts to capture a perfect time-lapse video, photographer Joel Schat was on the field at 4am to ready his camera for ‘Dawn Ascension’, a time when a cluster of hot air balloons take off just before sunrise.
Watch the time-lapse video showcasing the astounding view of an array of eclectic balloons hovering up, one after another, into the changing sky.
