Broken is a collection by Jalmari Laihinen, a Finnish designer also known as byJalmari. The furniture is playful and interesting, with visible splinters of wood where the connecting parts of the furniture have been snapped. The designer wanted to embrace the imperfect nature of wood as a material, showing that it doesn’t have to be shiny and polished to be stunning. And, of course, the furniture is perfectly engineered to be functional despite the breaks. We love this style and the concept behind it – what do you think?
