BRAZIL S/A DISCOVERING BRAZIL AND BRAZILIAN DESIGN
FROM 8 TO 13 APRIL, BRAZIL IS IN MILAN OFFERING A JOURNEY THROUGH ‘GREEN-GOLD’ CULTURE, SOCIETY AND NATURE
The fifth edition of BRAZIL S/A is ready to introduce everyone visiting Milan for the Salone del Mobile to the origins and elements distinguishing Brazilian design. ‘Origens do Brasil” is the title of the initiative conceived by Josè Roberto Moreira do Valle, with the contribution of Ricardo Caminada, that will be presented in the Palazzo Affari ai Giureconsulti from 8 to 13 April. This initiative is supported by the Consolato Generale del Brasile a Milano and by Promos/Camera di Commercio di Milano and enjoys the patronage of the Comune di Milano.
The key word of ‘Origens do Brasil’, the main exhibition of the fifth edition of BRAZIL S/A, is ‘diversity’, where cultural and creative variety are transmitted through chairs, stools and other seating conceived by famous designers and artisan and indigenous communities from various regions of Brazil. The aim is to explore how various objects can serve the same purpose, even though very different from each another, and at the same time express the culture of the place and mind of those who designed them. The exhibition was curated by Adélia Borges, an independent writer and design expert and current curator of the Biennale di Design Brasiliana.
