Inspired by these questions Yusuf Algan designed the “world-font” typeface. Primarily an assignment for college, this work became a personal milestone. Yusuf’s purpose was to bring in all the alphabets used worldwide. Some of them are religious ones, some are only used by 210 000 people. Every single alphabet is shaping one letter of the latin alphabet. The reason for the latin letter shape primarily because of the assignment description, secondarily Yusuf had to decide for one letter shape. The latin alphabet is the most commonly used, giving the spoken language their shape on the paper.
