The american designer Kelli Anderson designs a book that actually is a real working camera.
It lives in a pop-ip book and explains—while actively demonstrating—how a structure as simple as a folded piece of paper can tap into the intrinsic properties of light to produce a photograph.
A free template and assembly instruction are now available if you would build your own (or resist the urge of deconstructing a pre-built book.)
“This Book is a Camera” includes:
– a piece of paper folded into a working 4×5″ camera
– A lightproof bag
– 5 sheets of photo-paper “film”
– Development instructions
– A demonstration of the connection between design & science / structure & function
