If you’re fascinated by all things Brazilian, in Milan until this Sunday (24th May) is this fantastic exhibition, “Sou do Mundo, Sou Minas Gerais” (I am the world, I am Minas Gerais). Promoting the Brazilian creative industry in Minas Gerais, one of the most productive of Brazil’s states which is famous for its production of coffee, as well as its art and architecture, the exhibition is a journey through Brazilian fashion and design tradition, and also incorporates the theme of sustainable development. A selection of designers and artists are showing off their work, reflecting Brazilian culture and traditions as well as representing the best of Minas Gerais. Colourful textiles and prints are a highlight of the show, and reflect the energy present at Carnival time in Brazil, but you can also see some impressive furniture design and fun, interactive spaces. Check out some images of the works exhibited below, find out more on the exhibition’s website, and if you’re in Milan, you can visit the exhibition at the Università degli Studi di Milano, Portico Richini, Via Festa del Perdono, 7.
