Studio Carreras is the award-winning design studio of Genís Carreras, author of the book Philographics: Big Ideas in Simple Shapes, who brings bold graphic shapes and colours into the real life. In their latest project, the Catalan studio visualises the different events of the 3rd edition of Barcelona Pensa, the philosophy festival of Barcelona. The result is a bold and abstract visual identity inspired by Swiss modernism and geometry.
The festival consisted of 30 events covering a variety of topics such as Plato, philosophy and humour, biotechnology, Picasso, flash debates, contemporary art, etc. Each event has its own poster and visualisation using the same 3×3 modular grid (i.e. Picasso’s event has blue and white stripes) and a reduced colour palette.
