An artistic new gate that complements its surrounding landscape: this is the function of Blossom Gate. Designed by Vienna-based firm Prechteck, her project is inspired by the endings of brushstrokes, seen in Asian calligraphy and ink paintings: they’re visually rapresenting with a striking bamboo structure, a sight to be seen on its surrounding natural environment.
The giant threshold open a window for visitors to the Xiangyiang flower park in China: a wider opening, a blossoming form to allow pedestrians to enter and take a moment to rest, a meeting point, as well as a vantage point to take in the scenery.
