Spotted at Designmonat Graz 2019, the “Artificial Fruit“ pendant light by Lukas Klingsbichel. This is one of a number of shapes that have emerged in the course of working with digital surface modelling.

The lampshade “Artificial Fruit” is one of a series of shapes created with a new tool which makes it possible to imitate botanical shapes, windings of washed-out coralstones or scale structures enables us to bring about a new aesthetic which evokes associacions and emotions naturally.

The 3D printed lampshade is made of the biodegradable plastic PLA, which looks like a naturally grown fruit. Due to the Snap-On function, this “artificial fruit” can be attached to any conventional lamp socket.
