Arcade Providence Mall Renovation | Northeast Collaborative Architects

It’s any shopaholic’s dream – literally being able to live inside a mall. The Arcade Providence mall is America’s oldest, and has been transformed by Northeast Collaborative Architects into a housing space, with 17 shops on the ground floor and 48 micro apartments on the upper levels. The Rhode Island renovation cost $7 million dollars to build, and the rent on homes starts at just over $500 per month. The spaces range from a compact 225 to a neat 450 square feet and include all the necessities. There’s a TV room, game room, laundry room, and garage for residents.
