Copagri is an Italian confederation of agricultural producers, and their Expo pavilion is all based around thoroughly Italian food traditions. The pavilion was designed by Miralles Tagliabue EMBT and consists of two domes, constructed from wood and glass, covering a 560 square metre area. The pavilions boast a market, space for cooking demos, places to tuck into ice cream and pizza (well, while in Italy..!) and 15 spots for exhibitors to show their wares, which will be rotated on a weekly basis so that returning visitors can sample a range of Italian food products. At night, the pavilions are illuminated from the inside, providing light for the surrounding area as if they were lanterns.
