These confusing paintings, which incorporate both graphic qualities and traditional portrait techniques, are the work of Alex Garant, an artist now based in Toronto, Canada. Using patterns, duplication of elements and image superposition, Garant turns images of catwalk models into confusing portraits which make you wonder if your eyes are working properly.
