One of the key exhibitions at the 2015 edition of Designmonat Graz is ICH WAR DORT – MONTRÉAL MEETS GRAZ, a collaboration between two UNESCO cities, Graz, Austria and Montréal, Canada.
Montréal is one of the world’s leading cities in design promotion, and there is a strong commitment from the government and province to encourage excellence in design, which contributes hugely to the economic and cultural development of the Canadian city. The exhibition in the designHalle, featuring six different areas, is currently (until the end of May) showing off the best in Canadian creativity from 40 designers, as well as allowing visitors to experience a taste of life in the Québec region. There are plenty of design objects, projections, and other installations displayed, including Bixi bicycles which are a key part of Montréal’s bicycle hire system, an installation featuring snowstorms and allowing visitors to live the experience of a Canadian winter for themselves, and even impressive shadow play installations by Mere Phantoms bringing places with special significance for Montrealers to life.
Below, you can check out some photos from the exhibition in Austria. Come back soon for more news about Designmonat Graz on Feel Desain.
