CONVERSE designed the Chuck Taylor All Star in 1917 for the purpose of fulfilling the needs of basketball players. Since its initial launch, these sneakers have transcended genres and generations to stand at the forefront of the sneaker market even today. To celebrate the All Stars, CONVERSE have constructed an interactive screen that displays 480 Chuck Taylor for The CONVERSE Chuck Taylor Canvas Experiment. It is motorized to enable custom display triggered off by motion sensors and they have invited friends to experiment with the 5 x 4 meter installation. The Canvas Experiment will be showcased live throughout May 2011 at Paris and Berlin locations and highlights of the experiment will be uploaded onto the CONVERSE blog. Check their first experiment featuring Mitch the Drummer giving a glimpse of the capabilities of the installation.
