Royal College of Art student Simin Qiu has come up with this concept for a new, stylish faucet named Swirl. Qiu has already won an IF Concept Design Award due to the original design of the product and the fact that his faucet wastes 15% less water than traditional taps, making it much more environmentally-friendly. The water flow comes out of the tap in a mesmerising spiral shape, temperature is set in advance, and the tap turns on with a single touch, making it energy-efficient as well. We’re looking forward to seeing if Qiu’s design will make it into production any time soon.
