The Surfrider Foundation has started a campaign, including the video below, in order to draw attention to the plight of the world’s beaches. By the year 2100, 90% of the beaches will have disappeared if nothing is changed, due to climate change, coastal development and heavy coastline modification, amongst other factors. They aim to make EU States sign a climate agreement with the coastline in mind. In the video is a museum, with displays using wax models, in order to show beach scenes which are typical today but which will no longer be around if our coastlines disappear.
