Featuring historical icons, literary legends and film stars—such as Albert Einstein, Katherine Hepburn and Ernest Hemingway—these images are fascinating not only for the pictures of well-known faces, but also for the old passport designs they showcase. They also prove that some lucky souls—like Marilyn Monroe—are incapable of taking a bad photograph, even for the usually unflattering passport snapshot.
