“All is number“- said Pithagoras 2550 years ago…and all one has to do is look around to see how true it really is. Numbers surround us: abstract and real, they are humanities universal language…we did not create them, we have limited our selves to recognize them and make them recognizable…so now we find them hung over doors, on the faces of watches and on the pages of books… sometimes they almost scream out, from the neon signs to street signs, or even subliminal like on bar codes . Other times even invisible, like the ones hidden in the harmony of a chorus (it was said that it was Pithagoras to invent the musical scale, after discovering the relationship between sounds and timings based on numbers.
So, numbers are everywhere… and if in New York City you go to admire sky scrapers, even it’s numbers, can be just as beautiful. Colored, elegant, transparent or in 3d, horizontal and vertical, in metal, wood or glass. Feel Desain wondered around around Manhattan, counting to 100 and capturing them all…everyone of them, probably, is someones favorite number.
As a matter of fact: which one is yours?

“Tutto è numero”, diceva Pitagora, 2500 anni fa. E basta guardarsi intorno per capire fino a che punto sia vero.
I numeri ci circondano: insieme astratti e reali, sono il linguaggio universale dell’umanità. Non li abbiamo creati noi, ci siamo limitati a riconoscerli e renderli riconoscibili. Così li ritroviamo appesi accanto all’ingresso delle case, disegnati sul quadrante degli orologi e tra le pagine di un libro. A volte quasi gridati, dalle insegne al neon e dai cartelli stradali, oppure subliminali come codici a barre. Altre volte ancora invisibili, come quelli nascosti nell’armonia di un ritornello (si dice che proprio Pitagora abbia inventato la scala musicale, dopo aver scoperto il legame matematico tra suoni e rapporti numerici).
Numeri quindi, ovunque.
E se a New York ci si arriva per ammirare i grattacieli, anche i suoi numeri possono essere, oltre che onnipresenti, bellissimi. Colorati, eleganti, trasparenti o in rilievo, orizzontali e verticali, in metallo, legno o vetro. Feel Desain ha vagato per Manhattan, contando fino a 100 e collezionandoli tutti. Ognuno di loro, probabilmente, è già il numero preferito di qualcuno.
