Boa Mistura are some of our very favourite creators of graffiti art (you may have already seen their paintings in a Brazilian favela) and this installation in the Spanish town of Logroño is wonderful. In order to create a new landscape for St. Bartolomé Square, the artists installed a number of white columns with letters painted on them, creating an abstract installation which only starts to make sense when you take a step back and find the right vantage point to read all four parts of an Enrique Cabezón poem: mírate | a través de | este poema | de agua. The anamorphic installation is fascinating to look at from both near and far – check out the images below.
