As well as finding out about the new MacBook, yesterday we also discovered that the much anticipated Apple Watch will be available from April 24th in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, the UK, and the US. It will be available in 2 sizes, 38mm and 42mm, and in three collections.
The Apple Watch Sport features a lightweight anodized aluminium case in silver and space grey, Ion-X glass-protected Retina display, and high-performance fluoroelastomer Sport Band in five colours (price $349-399 USD).
The Apple Watch features polished stainless steel and space black stainless steel cases, sapphire crystal-protected Retina display, and a choice of three leather straps, a stainless steel link bracelet and Milanese loop, or black or white Sport Band (price $549-1,099 USD).
The exclusive Apple Watch Edition features cases in custom rose or yellow 18-karat gold alloys, polished sapphire crystal-protected Retina display, and a selection of uniquely designed straps and bands with gold clasps, buckles or pins (prices from $10,000).
The watch itself not only keeps the time to within 50 milliseconds of UTC but allows you to do most of the things you usually do on your phone, but on your wrist, and delivers up to an 18-hour battery life. Lots of people are very skeptical about the Apple watch, but we’ll have to wait until sales begin to see how much it will catch on around the world…
