Apple always manages to get the world excited about their new products, and yesterday was no exception as they unveiled the new MacBook.
The new version of the iconic computer is the thinnest and lightest ever, weighing 2 pounds and is only 13.1mm thin, making it super portable and making the MacBook Air look chunky. It comes with a 12-inch 2304 x 1440 resolution Retina display. The combination of small size and light weight, with fantastic high-res screen makes it the best of both worlds if you wanted the portability of a MacBook Air and the definition of the Retina MacBook Pro.
Shipping from April 10, the MacBook has a compact USB-C port for data transfer, and new battery design, and you’ll have the choice between three finishes – gold, silver, and space grey. Apple promises the new Mac will be more silent than ever, as well as being the most energy-efficient notebook in the world, with up to 9 hours wireless web browsing and 10 hours of iTunes movie playback.
The new MacBook with a 1.1 GHz dual-core Intel Core M processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 2.4 GHz, 8GB of memory, 256GB of flash storage and Intel HD Graphics 5300 starts from $1,299 USD, and with a 1.2 GHz dual-core Intel Core M processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 2.6GHz, 8GB of memory, 512GB of flash storage and Intel HD Graphics 5300 you’re looking at $1,599 USD from the Apple store.
