Next week, one of our favourite design festivals, Design Miami, is coming back to Europe for its 10th edition.
On Tuesday, DesignMiami/Basel opens in Switzerland, and we think this edition is going to be awesome. The organisers have obviously gone to a lot of effort to make the event look super cool, especially as this year as the event celebrates its tenth anniversary. We already love the graphics the event is using in its promotional materials – the result of a collaboration with textile designers Pierre Frey, in order to combine hand-drawn patterns with the fair’s distinctive aesthetic. At the event, 46 of the world’s leading galleries in collectable design will be present, showing off the best in design from around the world, as well as installations, events for collectors and enthusiasts, the brand new Curio program which offers designer, curators, innovators, gallerists and institutions the opportunity to present fully immersive environments that both challenge and contextualize familiar design narratives, and much, much more.
We’ll be reporting on the event throughout the week, so keep checking back for more news! Find out more on DesignMiami’s website, where you can now download a preview of the event catalogue.
