The United States’ huge pavilion at the Milan Expo tells the story of the nation through topics such as science and technology, nutrition and health, and culinary culture. Designed by Biber Architects, the pavilion was inspired by traditional American barns, and visitors can find a vertical farm the length of a football field featuring lots of different harvestable crops, a boardwalk with repurposed wood taken from Coney Island, and even a rooftop terrace with a SmartGlass canopy which is adjustable according to the sun. In typical American style, there are even Food Trucks serving iconic and innovative foods and drinks. The pavilion hopes to make people enthusiastic about American cuisine, chefs, and products, and to learn more about how the USA is a leader in the global food arena.
