Murcia-based Spanish photographer Juan Sánchez Castillo has created a delightful collection of beauty shots that imagines miniature people working and playing on the faces of women. The creative, fun and surreal images from the “Making It Up” series are a tribute to both the art of make-up and imagination—in collaboration with his wife who loves miniature figures, the photographer transformed the faces of his models into landscapes on which the tiny subjects are performing tasks and activities.
Each scene shows the miniature figures interacting with the “gigantic” real-life faces—a pair of painters is meticulously applying lipstick to a mouth in one of the photos, while in another, a gardener is mowing a grass-covered cheek.
