If you happen to be in Munich, Germany this January, make sure you don’t miss Paris-based American artist Sheila Hicks‘s exhibition at The Espace Louis Vuitton. Sheila Hicks is an established artist, with a studio in Paris since 1967. Her background includes extensive travelling around South America, where her love of colour and textile was born. The exhibition is called Predestined Colour Waves, and comprises a huge variety of work, from huge installations right down to hand-woven miniatures. Hicks’s extensive knowledge of textiles and techniques is clear, and the exhibition is a colourful exploration of colours, proportions, and even architecture. If you’d like to go and see Hicks’s work in München, the exhibition is open until January 23rd and entrance is free.
