There are many yoga, meditation and Zen apps but Headspace does one of the best jobs of easing someone into a new meditation practice. And if you work in a similar industry to me then a little mind chill-time every day is critical. I’m nearly a year into almost-daily meditation. It doesn’t make you crazy-proof (New York winters, pitches and pitches during New York winters are tough adversaries) but you’ll develop very useful skills—you’ll better catch yourself when you’re judging or telling yourself stories or comparing or worrying or not listening properly.
