The Weather Channel promoted its new campaign by giving unsuspecting commuters rain inside a bus stop shelter. The bus stop had been modified and adjusted with hidden sprinklers on the roof’s inside.
Weather Channel’s aim was to promote its updated app for Android, which includes a new feature that gives an hourly update of the local weather. The update also shows more precise timings to determine when the rain will start and stop.
Getting drenched will be less expected with this new convenience, so Weather Channel wanted to see people getting caught in the rain by surprise one last time.
