We adore this style of photography, where images are placed in front of the exact place they were taken (see our own RiTOrno series, Hebe Robinson’s Echoes, or Maksim Zavialov’s polaroids), and Finnish fangirls Tiia Öhman and Satu Walden have taken it to a different level. The duo have travelled around the world to find the locations of their favourite films and TV series, putting a scene from each movie on an iPad before photographing it right in front of the place it was shot. Their so called “sceneframing” project began in the UK with scenes and backdrops from Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey, and Batman, amongst others, before travelling through North America to find scenes from Breaking Bad, Glee, Forrest Gump and more. Check out some of their images below.
