Plenty of restaurants and cafés feature an artistic touch, and graffiti has already been used in interior design, but this restaurant in Hong Kong is like nothing we’ve ever seen before. Bibo is a fine dining restaurant which is industrial, modern, artistic, cosy, and fun all at the same time. Branding and design agency Substance were challenged “to mix modern street art, classic French gastronomy, and the space which contained the two”. The backdrop is inspired by art deco from the 1930s, which is elegant and also versatile, as it always works well with the constantly changing artworks, which include pieces by Banksy and Takashi Murakami, amongst other big names in the modern art world.
