During the month of May, the Austrian UNESCO city of Graz hosts Designmonat Graz, a month-long celebration of design organised by CIS. We’re reporting on the event throughout the month, and you can find a constantly-updated post here.

Today we’re talking about Design in the City, an exciting element of Designmonat Graz, where 34 businesses transform their premises into design hotspots, demonstrating the importance of design within their business and focusing on design in the retail sector as a whole, with some shops even organising their own events. If you want to take in the month-long event in a more relaxed way, or discover design beyond the array of exhibitions, workshops and lectures on offer, Design in the City allows you to walk around the town and discover another side of the event in a more “natural” setting.
