We’re back to an individual pavilion today – Indonesia. The style of this particular pavilion was inspired by land and water, and refers to the interaction between farmers and fishing communities in this very special archipelago. The pavilion celebrates the diversity of Indonesia, which has 540 different ethnic languages within it. The icon for the pavilion is the Javan rhino, an endangered species still present in the Ujung Kulon National Park in Indonesia – in fact, the exterior of the pavilion looks a lot like the thick, folded skin of the animal! Inside, there is a multimedia gallery, and an Oculus exhibition, offering visitors the opportunity to experience the beauty of Indonesia in amazing 3D before they head to the restaurant to taste Indonesia’s incredible food.
