Turin-based architects Carlo Ratti Associati, who are involved in various design and architecture projects around the world, have planned this exciting new vision for the Italian city. The company has already worked on designing the Trussardi headquarters in Milan, as well as 1000 Tsunami-safe houses in Sri Lanka and many other projects worldwide, and has now come up with the idea for LA TORRE. LA TORRE is a project which the architects hope could provide Turin with the largest ever (virtual) window over the city, using cameras and real-time projections, combined with existing windows, rather than a traditional glass facade. They have also proposed a cafeteria on a lower level, also boasting great views, and an exciting and unique rotating elevator on an independent pole structure. The video below (in Italian) shows the proposal.
